NASHUA - An unidentified adult female died early Wednesday morning when she was struck by a car on the F.E. Everett Turnpike.
Police responded around 3 a.m. to the southbound lanes just over the Massachusetts line where they found the woman had suffered fatal injuries after being struck, according to a release sent out by State Police on Friday.
The driver of the involved vehicle, a Chevrolet Silverado, was found stopped in the breakdown lane.
The southbound travel lanes were closed for several hours while an investigation was conducted.
The crash remains under investigation, and the identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
