MANCHESTER - The Manchester man killed on Monday died of a single gunshot wound to the head, and his manner of death was homicide, according to the state's medical examiner's office.
The death of Brennan Pelio, 27, of Manchester, occurred around 10 p.m. on Monday. Police officers responded to a suspicious death call at 470 Silver St. where they discovered Pelio deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
Alicia Castagnino, 24, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with one count of second degree murder for "knowingly causing the death of Mr. Pelio by shooting him in the head with a firearm, and alternatively, on one count of second degree murder for recklessly causing the death of Mr. Pelio under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life."
An arraignment is scheduled for Friday at the 9th Circuit - District Division - Manchester.
