Broiled salmon, red bliss mashed, green beans (Rochester Voice photo)

ROCHESTER - When you go to Windjammers you expect their seafood to be among the best in the city, but the broiled salmon I had on Friday was impeccable, delectable and exceptional. In other words, it was flat out delicious.

Combine the salmon with their renowned heaping helping of redskin mashed potatoes and green beans and you have a winner you'll come back for time and time again.

The salmon portion was generous enough to take some home in a doggie bag. which we'll enjoy in an omelette today!

And if you're lucky (or unlucky) enough to be of mature standing, it's just $16.99, including coffee or fountain drink, bread and dessert. I never get dessert when I eat out, but when it's free, I'll take it. And the butterscotch pudding with loads of whipped cream was also delicious.

Trust me, every senior citizen in the Rochester aea knows this already. We're just trying to pass it on to the young'uns.

Windjammers is located at 204 Portland St.
