DOVER - William H. Gowen (Bill), died at home with his family on Monday, December 7, 2020 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born December 27, 1927 in Dover, he was the son of Harry and Nancy (Rowe) Gowen.
He was a proud veteran of World War II.
For over 35 years, Bill was a financial adviser for John Hancock Financial Services. He earned numerous awards including the John Hancock Honor Clubs and Presidents Clubs. He was especially proud to be inducted into the John Hancock Hall of Fame, recognizing his many years of sales achievements and superior service to his clients.
Bill will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of life, and his devotion to his family.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of over 70 years, Shirley Mae (McGlone) Gowen; his daughter Pamela Guedoura and her husband Fredj; three grandchildren, Fatima Guedoura, Sammi Guedoura, and Aziz Guedoura; and two special great-grandchildren, Brady and Ryan Coppola.
He is predeceased by his brothers, Burton Tuttle, Roland Tuttle, and Vernon Tuttle, and his sisters Irene Hoitt, Iva Towle, and Thelma Kelly
