Tomorrow Lebanon residents have the power to reinvent their town. To stop the disgusting and rampant abuse of power by selectmen who through the years have rewritten the rules and skirted the law to their own benefit over and over again.

By voting for Corinna Cole you will be voting for a person who has already done more for this town then any paid selectman. And she's done it for decades at no pay.

Corinna Cole will fight to implement the town manager form of government, which this town needs given the shenanigans of past boards of selectmen.

The current board has done a good job beginning the cleanup, but this board won't be here forever.

It's time to bring onboard a town manager who will go about the business of running the town. Who won't put up with road crew work details that are scant on explanation but carry a hefty bill. Who won't put up with personnel policies being changed at the whim of a selectman who also works for a town department. Who will make sure the town is getting its money's worth from every single individual who draws a paycheck from our hard-earned tax dollars.

A town manager will get grants that will save the town money. They'll likely save the town money on lawyer bills, too, as they know personnel policy rules and regulations as part of their education.

Corinna Cole has been working from the outside for a town manager for years. Let her work from the inside. It's been her baby. Let her bring it into the world.

The other selectmen candidates are good and decent men, but Corinna Cole is the one we need now.

Paul Philbrick has been a fine selectman, but he's not enthused about a town manager. Selectmen Chairman Ben Thompson, meanwhile, has been vocal in his support for a town manager.

Thompson and Corinna Cole will make it happen. Finally we'll get our town manager.

Vote for the town manager position and the town manager salary, which are Questions 2 and 3.

And vote for Corinna Cole for selectman.
