Facebook asked me today to name an album I can confidently say that I have listen to over 100 times. Some Girls by the Rolling Stones would fit that bill! One of the first LPs I ever owned, it has easily been listened to over 100 times. I wore it out. In an age where Disco was popular, this album was different. The artwork was so unique. It had die cut openings on the front of the album and you would slip the printed dust cover in and faces would line up to show through the holes.

I later learned the group got into some trouble for using some of the famous "Girls" faces amongst their own without permission. I wish I still had that original album with its controversial art!

The Rolling Stones have always had a place in my record collection, not just for their catchy artwork but for their unmistakable music. When I first saw "the Stones" I remember watching the drummer and thinking what an amazing drummer. He could change his style from a really bluesy number to a hard rocking song without missing a beat. Well this week The Rolling Stones lost that amazing drummer, when Charlie Watts peacefully passed away.

May you show those in heaven how to bang those drums only like you can Mr. Watts! Thank You for over 50 years of amazing Rock and Roll.
