Wakefield woman fatally injured in Route 16 crash

MILTON - A Wakefield, N.H., woman was killed on Friday in a two-vehicle collision on Route 16 in Milton.

The crash occurred around 4:15 p.m. when a southbound Honda Accord, driven by LeeAnna Cormier, 29, of Wakefield crossed the center line and struck a northbound Dodge pickup truck.

Cormier died from injuries sustained in the collision.

The driver of the pickup truck, Steven Geyer, 56, of Moultonborough, N.H., was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester with what were described as serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation, and State Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call State Police Troop-A Barracks at (603) 223-8490.

Milton Police, Milton Fire, Middleton Police and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation were all on scene.
