Wakefield pair arrested on meth trafficking charges

CONCORD - The state's Attorney General's Office announced that a Wakefield pair was arrested on Wednesday in a meth trafficking case.

James Brooks, 37, is charged with three counts of sale of meth, subsequent offense and Katelyn Lake, 26, is charged with one count of sale of meth, subsequent offense.

Brooks has a prior drug conviction in the Carroll County Superior Court from September 2017, while Lake has a prior drug conviction in the Carroll County Superior Court from December 2018.

A search warrant was also executed which led to the seizure of additional drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Both were held Wednesday on preventative detention.

The arrests are the result of a multi-month investigation by the Attorney General's Drug Task Force. Members of the New Hampshire State Police and the Wakefield Police Department assisted the Task Force with the arrests.
