SOMERSWORTH - A Pennsylvania man who became obsessed with a Somersworth woman he met through an online subscription service will go on trial on burglary and invasion of privacy charges Wednesday in Strafford Superior Court.
Mauricio Damian Guerrero, 22, of Bensalem, Pa., is accused of six felony burglary counts along with two misdemeanors for invasion of privacy.
Somersworth Police arrested Guerrero in the early morning hours of Feb. 9, 2022, after they responded to a Highland Street residence for a report that the resident heard someone in the attic.
Officers on scene located Guerrero on the roof, and after an on-scene investigation, arrested him on burglary charges.
According to a lengthy affidavit filed by Somersworth Police Det. Sgt. John W. Sunderland, Guererro drove more than six hours from Bensalem to seek out the woman, whom he'd met on the OnlyFans website, a service used primarily by sex workers who produce pornography, according to Wikipedia. The platform is also home to other content creators, such as physical fitness experts and musicians.
Police say the victim in the case, who is in her 20s, told police she had met Guerrero through her online job on "OnlyFans," the affidavit states.
According to the affidavit, the victim said he seemed nice at first but then got a little pushy and began giving her gifts, including a TV and fireplace.
On the night of Feb. 8, 2022, she said Guerrero facetimed her, showing he was right outside her house, prompting her to demand he leave and never come back again.
A couple of hours later she saw him standing in her hallway staring at her.
When he walked away, her roommate called police to say the victim had a stalker.
When police arrived they heard heavy footsteps on the roof, spotted him there and took him into custody.
In interviews with police Guerrero has claimed that the victim said she had a fantasy of being stalked and that they'd also been intimate.
The trial begins on Wednesday and is expected to last four days.
Guerrero faces up to 45 years if convicted of the three most serious burglary charges, in which the sentences are elevated because they were during the nighttime and in one's own domicile.
