ROCHESTER - When you find there are a couple of local cops running a food truck called the Soul Patrol, and their signature sandwich is a pork-obsessed creation called the "Angry Pig Burger," well, you just got to check it out.
And you'll get to do just that on Sunday when the Soul Patrol Barbecue and Grill along with about a dozen other food trucks from all over New England roll into the Lilac Mall for the inaugural Rochester Food Truck Bash from Noon-5 p.m.
Michael McNeil and Ken Tilley are co-owners of Soul Patrol BBQ & Grill, and ever since they were teens growing up together, they've talked of sometime running a barbecue joint or truck.
McNeil, a full-time police officer in Middleton; and Tilley, a full-time patrolman in Farmington, got serious about it two years ago when they purchased their Soul Patrol food truck for about $40,000.
McNeil said both their families help out with their burgeoning barbecue and burger business.

Staples of their menu include brisket, pulled pork and ribs but their specialty sandwich, the Angry Pig, could be the most arresting menu item.
It includes pulled pork and bacon piled on a bun then topped with pepperjack cheese, deep fried jalapenos, an onion ring and smothered in both barbecue sauce and "angry sauce," whose ingredients are still under seal.
Another favorite is deep fried pulled pork egg rolls, McNeil said. Cuff us to the feed bag, we say.
And then there are some that confess their sweet potato fries are to die for.
In addition to local food trucks like Soul Patrol and others as far away as Connecticut, the Food Truck Bash at Lilac Mall will also be joined by Somersworth's Bad Labs Brewing Company which will have a beer garden set up that will be selling many of their local brews.
There will also be some live music.
There is no admission fee.
