ROCHESTER - "Streetview," an exhibition featuring a series of works by Sean Ware, is currently on exhibition at the Rochester Public Library.

Ware is an artist and educator based in Portland, Maine. He focuses on capturing the changing dynamics of everyday environments. His paintings highlight the nuances of fading light, passing storms, and the resilience of growing weeds, prompting viewers to find something new in the familiar.

With a background in art education, Ware has taught at various institutions, including the Illustration program at Ringling College of Art and Design and as a visiting instructor at Berea College.

Ware's artistic approach has evolved from scouting traditional painting locations to drawing inspiration from virtual explorations. His ongoing series of cityscapes originates from navigating the streets and alleys of Google Maps at street level, revealing patterns, atmospheres, and optical illusions that inform his work.

The exhibition will be on view until April 5, with a reception planned for March 2 from 1-3 p.m.. The Rochester Public Library is located at 65 South Main Street, Rochester
