ROCHESTER - Steven J Maxfield, 58, of Rochester, died peacefully at home on Friday, June 24, 2022.

Born in n Rochester, on January 2, 1964, he was the son of Edward R. Maxfield Jr and Doris (Cleary) Maxfield.

Known mostly as "Wheatbread", "Wheatie" and "Max" Steven grew up in Rochester, and was involved with the local hockey teams both as a player and a coach, He was a graduate of Spaulding High School class of 1982.

He then went on to become a Master Plumber and worked with many local companies over the years. He was a proud member of the Rochester Jaycees and held several offices, being elected President in 1996. He then went on to serve as the 48th President of the NH Junior Chamber, #48 Junior Chamber Granite Statesman and a Junior Chamber International Senator.

In more recent years he was a "fixture" in the plumbing department at Home Depot.

An avid golfer he was a member of Nippo Lake Golf Club and Rochester Country Club where he enjoyed many rounds (especially the 19th hole)

Survivors include his mother, Doris Maxfield; his siblings, Charlene Kreiensieck and her husband, Wayne; David Maxfield and his wife, Jan; Marcy Whitcher and her husband, Michael; nieces, Jessica Mizzau; Jill Alexy, Haley Kreiensieck and Kayla Whitcher; nephews, Ryan and Jack Whitcher and many cousins.

He was predeceased by his father Edward, Sister Debora and Nephew Scott.
