State Police urge caution during busiest travel days of the year

The upcoming Thanksgiving holiday weekend represents the busiest travel weekend of the year and the NH State Police are urging motorists to be extra vigilant.

It should be noted that statistically, traffic-related fatalities increase around the holidays; however, traffic crashes can be reduced considerably by being mindful of the following traffic safety tips:

Don't Drive Impaired:

-Plan ahead.

-Designate a sober driver and hand over your keys.

-Call an Uber/Lyft/taxi/family member/friend to pick you up.

-Use public transportation.

-Use Sober Ride programs where available.

Don't Drive Distracted

-Put down your phone or other electronics.

-Keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road to remain focused at all times.

Wear Your Seatbelt

Obey the Speed Limit
