ROCHESTER - If you're out and about in the downtown these hot summer days, be on the lookout for Squatch. This year he brought his whole family with him for a little vacay in the downtown.
Rochester Main Street is behind the mischief, and will have the family of Bigfoots tucked away in various spots in the downtown.
The new twist this year is each Bigfoot will have a letter displayed, and if anyone is lucky enough to collect all the letters it will reveal a message about Rochester, according to organizers.
Bigfoot aficionados should check back often, as the messages will change throughout the season.
Anyone who collects the messages could win a gift certificate prize to a store of your choice in the Main Street corridor.
In addition, each Squatch will have a "QR" code which links to www.mainstreet.org for more information.
Rochester Main Street is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that promotes events and community service within downtown Rochester.
Highlights of community service include the Edison lights, flower planters and annual spring cleanup.

Rochester Main Street is also hosting Moonlight Madness events on the third Wednesday of each month from 5-8 pm.
On Wednesday Middleman will be performing at the Wyandotte Alley Stage, and several of the downtown businesses will have extended evening hours.
