Somersworth Police: Charges expected after gunplay during road rage incident

SOMERSWORTH - Somersworth Police continue to investigate a Sunday road rage incident that occurred on Market Street near the Maine line.
Police got involved arund 8:30 p.m. after being dispatched to the scene for a report of a road rage incident in which shots had allegedly been fired.
A description was given of the suspect and their vehicle which had remained in the area for a short time. A "Be on the Lookout," or BOLO, Officer Safety/Use Caution was sent out to the surrounding agencies including the State of Maine.
About 10 minutes later officers from the Berwick Police Department located the suspect vehicle on Rochester Street in Berwick and conducted a motor vehicle stop. The operator who was the person of interest was detained and later released, with a vehicle impounded pending a search warrant.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are expected.
