ROCHESTER - Sharon Nowell, 66, of Rochester, died peacefully at home on Feb. 28, 2016.
The daughter of John and Cora (Levesque) Clement, Sharon was born in Dover on July 14, 1949 and was a graduate of Dover High School, Class of '67.
Sharon found her true calling - taking care of others through nursing. While raising her two daughters and working herself through college, she graduated from New Hampshire Vocational Technical College with a degree in nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover for more than 30 years. Her passions in nursing were pediatrics and hospice.
Sharon's greatest joy was spending time with her family, most especially her two daughters, three grandchildren and their spouses. Her other interests were good food, friends, traveling and an occasional Jimmy Buffett concert as well as soaking up the sun at the beaches of Clearwater, Fla., York Beach and Old Orchard Beach in Maine.
She is survived by her daughters, Dawn Nowell-Dickinson, spouse Kenneth Viel and granddaughter Cora Viel of Rochester; Maureen Holmes, spouse Tracey Holmes and grandchildren Peyton and Greyson Holmes of Rochester; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Clement of Dover and Paddy Nowell-Morgan of Taunton, Mass.; niece Amanda Clement-Embree and her family, Kevin, Riddick and Liaden of Woburn, Mass.
