Sanford man arrested in arson fire that damaged two cars

SANFORD, Maine - Police arrested a Sanford man on Wednesday in an arson fire that damaged two vehicles and a nearby garage.

Police and Fire got involved around 2:52 a.m. when they were called to 756 Main St. where they determined a fire had been intentionally set to two vehicles in the driveway.

The fire also damaged an adjacent garage before it was extinguished.

After an investigation that involved police and the state fire marshal, Zachary Winn, 24, was arrested and charged with arson and aggravated criminal mischief.

Winn was taken to York County Jail where bail was set at $10,000 cash. If anyone has further information about this incident they are asked to contact Detective Everett Allen at (207) 324-9170 ext. 225.
