Ruth Lorraine (Torf) Saunders ... at 87

DOVER - It is with great sadness that the Saunders family announces the death of Ruth Lorraine (Torf) Saunders of Dover, on March 1, 2022.

Ruth was born in Dorchester, Mass., on Feb. 15, 1935, and married her lifelong sweetheart, Arthur Saunders, formerly of Dover. She was married 62 wonderful years before Arthur passed in June 2020. During their life together, you could find them working side-by-side at M. Saunders Inc, running the family business and just enjoying life, whether it was in Dover or Florida. Before moving to NH to start her family, Ruth graduated from Brandeis University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1956.

Ruth is survived by her three sons and their wives: Marc and Anne Saunders of Dover, Norman and Diane Saunders of Somersworth; and Steven and Susan Saunders of Needham, Mass. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Breanna, Gabrielle, Noah, Jacob, Meredith and Jonah; her great granddaughter, Myrcella; and her brother and his wife, Arthur and Sandy Torf of Maryland and her younger sister and her husband, Phyllis and Jordan Warshofsky.
