ROCHESTER - Rufus C. Hartford, 86, of Oak Street died on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was born March 30, 1935 in West Epping, the son of Rufus and Zeala Hartford. Rufus proudly serviced in the Air Force.
Rufus worked as a machinist for Strafford Machine Shop. He enjoyed working on cars in his garage. His passions were Jesus, Family, church and friends. H was a Bible study leader at Strafford County Corrections facility for many years
He pastored a church in Epping for two years and then he was a lifelong member of True Memorial Baptist Church in Rochester.
Members of his family include his wife Shirley (King) Hartford; son, Richard Hartford; daughter, Marilyn Hartford; grandchildren, Tiffany, Rachel, Stephanie, Erin; great grandchildren, Adrian, Preston, Kaylee and Alexxus.
