ROCHESTER - Nearly 80 entries, 13 floats and three marching bands participated in Rochester's "Rock & Roll Christmas Parade" on Sunday.
The Best of Parade float was won by Integrity Home Team @ Bean Group, followed by American Legion Post 7 in second place and Douglas Robbins coming in third.
The bands included the Spaulding High School Red Raider Marching Band, Wells High School Band from Wells, Maine, and the Claddagh Mhor Pipe Band.

New this year was Trevor "The Games Man," a stilt walker from Massachusetts.
The Grand Marshals were the 2022 Business of the Year, Potter's House Bakery & Cafe; the 2022 Non-Profit of the Year, The Homeless Center For Strafford County; and our 2022 Citizen of the Year, Kathleen H. Sessler.
Ribbons were distributed to all participants in the parade, and plaques were awarded to the winning entries.

Committee Chairman was former Rochester Fire Chief Norm Sanborn who does a wonderful job each year leading the committee to accomplish the myriad of tasks involved with the event.
Around 150 businesses and individuals make financial and/or in-kind contributions to make the parade possible.
Members of the local media help to publicize the event including Breezeline, The Rochester Voice, Foster's Daily Democrat, the City of Rochester, and several radio stations.
Chamber staff members are responsible for organizing the entire parade behind the scenes including all the volunteer management, publicity, fund raising, parade line-up and the many tasks associated with coordinating the Holiday Parade.
