ALFRED, Maine - A Rochester woman has been indicted in a domestic violence assault that occurred in Berwick, Maine, in February.

Emily E. McKenna, 24, of 116 South Main St., is accused of aggravated DV assault with a weapon, aggravated DV assault and criminal mischief in connection with a Feb. 22 incident.

The most serious charge is a Class B felony, punishable by up to 10 years in state prison.

The York County grand jury indictments were handed down on Aug. 7 and released last week.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, rather that enough evidence has been presented to a grand jury to warrant moving forward to trial.
