Rochester woman accused of leaving scene, DUI following Eastside collision

EAST ROCHESTER - A Rochester woman is facing charges of leaving the scene of an accident and aggravated DUI after she allegedly fled the scene of an accident in East Rochester.
Police say Rhonda Sutherland, 58, was involved in a collision at the intersection of Salmon Falls Road and Highland Avenue around 3:05 p.m. on Monday, and drove off failing to await officers' arrival on scene.
"The driver of the other vehicle came to the police department to report the accident and stated the other vehicle involved had left the scene," Rochester Police Capt. Todd Pinkham said on Friday. "That vehicle was later seen in the parking lot of a business on Milton Road."
Soon after police located Sutherland and arrested her for conduct after an accident and aggravated DUI, because her alcohol level was .16-plus, more than twice the legal limit, according to police documents.
Sutherland was also charged with a solid/yellow line violation.
Both vehicles sustained minor, damage.
No injuries resulted from the crash.
Meanwhile, Sutherland will be arraigned on Tuesday in Rochester District Court.
According to state statute an aggravated DUI can result in fines, jail time and loss of drving privileges.
