Rochester man killed when struck by car on Hansonville Road

ROCHESTER - A Rochester man was fatally struck by a vehicle while walking along Hansonville Road Wednesday night.

Police and Rescue responded to the area of Oak Street and Gear Road and found the man to be unconscious.

The pedestrian was identified as Emmanuel Labrie, 59, of Rochester. He was struck by a Hyundai Veloster driven by Dakodah Paradis, 25, of Rochester.

Labrie was pronounced dead at the scene. Paradis was uninjured.

The area of the accident was closed for several hours as the Strafford County Regional Accident Reconstruction Team responded to assist with the investigation.

Rochester Police Capt. Todd Pinkham said police believe driver impairment was not a factor, but added that the Accident Reconstruction Team will continue with its investigation before submitting a final report to police.
