Rochester man faces judge today after arrest following high-speed chase

ROCHESTER - A Rochester man will face a judge today after he was arrested on Tuesday following a police chase that began in Exeter and ended near the intersection of Route 125 and the Spaulding Turnpike Tuesday night.

According to police, David Nesbit, 38, of Phillips Way, Rochester, fled a traffic stop in Epping around 8:40 p.m., then drove north on Route 125 until State Police were able to dismantle his vehicle with the help of a deflation device at the intersection of the Spaulding Turnpike in Rochester.

The vehicle had been stolen, police say, and was being sought in connection with a firearms theft. Nisbet, who was wanted on warrants involving theft and bail violations, drew additional charges of felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, receiving stolen property and felon in possession of a deadly weapon.

He is scheduled for a hearing in Rochester District Court today.

Multiple agencies were involved in the pursuit including the Epping, Lee, Barrington, Farmington and Rochester police fepartments and the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office.
