Rochester Main Street is planning to add several bistro tables to the Riverwalk on North Main Street, behind the new Citizen's Bank.

According to board president Mike Guillete, the new tables are representative of his organization's efforts to create a positive atmosphere and add more outdoor seating options for residents and visitors.

"There's been a renewed interest in the Riverwalk initiative," stated Guillete, referring to the City's Riverwalk Committee. "We saw an opportunity for Main Street to contribute to that enthusiasm."

"The wide sidewalks along the river offer the perfect location for lighting and tables," Guillete continued. "It will be a great place to eat take out, walk your dog, or read a book."

Main Street volunteers are planning to install the tables on April 23, during the Rochester Cares event, an annual community clean-up day. For security, the tables will be secured along the guardrail of the Riverwalk.

Rochester Main Street is a 501c3 nonprofit organization sponsored by the Economic Development Department, City of Rochester, New Hampshire. Visit www.rochestermainstreet.org to learn more.
