ROCHESTER - In an effort to ease the burden fire inspections the Rochester Fire Department will host two informational sessions for business owners to help them learn more about the process.
Two identical sessions will take place at 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 23 at Granite Steak and Grill. The sessions are hosted by the City of Rochester, Rochester Fire Department, Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce and Rochester Main Street.
Assistant Chief Tim Wilder will be the lead presenter.
The sessions will place an emphasis on life and safety codes, compliance and planning for fire safety. Business owners will have a chance to learn about what they should expect prior to, and after, an inspection, and how to work with the Fire Marshal to become compliant.
"I encourage all business leaders to attend one of these sessions so they can have a better understanding of our fire safety inspection process," Rochester Fire Chief Mark Klose said. "These codes are in place to ensure that buildings are safe, and it's important that business owners understand and are in compliance with all safety regulations."
Those attending are asked to RSVP at www.rochesternh.org/firesafety
