Rochester Elks member recognized for reaching $5,000 donation level

ROCHESTER - Rochester Elks Lodge #1393 on on Wednesday recognized Past Exalted Ruler Jason Parker for his cumulative donations of $5,000 to the Elks National Foundation.

Regarded as an extraordinary level of giving, Parker reached the milestone thanks to his remarkable generosity, lodge officials said.

ENF Lodge Chairman Norman Gervais thanked Parker for his efforts and presented him with the Bronze level lapel pin and plaque from the national headquarters of the Elks National Foundation, located in Chicago.

The mission of the Elks National Foundation is to help Elks build stronger communities. The Order fulfills this pledge by investing in communities where Elks live and work. Elks help youth develop lifelong skills, send students to college, meet the needs of today's veterans, support the charitable work of the state Elks associations, and fund projects that improve the quality of life in local Elks communities.

The ENF is able to help Elks build stronger communities thanks to contributions from our generous donors. Since inception, the Elks foundation has received more than $270 million in contributions and bequests.

The currently have more than 100,000 active donors and an endowment fund valued at $825 million.
