ROCHESTER - On Saturday, July 24th, 2021, the Rochester Elks #1393 hosted the annual Tri Lodge Games at their lodge located at 295 Columbus Avenue in Rochester.
The Tri-Lodge Games are a fun event designed to create a friendly competition between the Rochester, Dover and Portsmouth Elks Lodges. The tradition has been carried on for a number of years and there is a rotating trophy that goes to the wining Lodge.
For this year's contest, Rochester had 38 people in attendance, Portsmouth had 20 and Dover had 6. Scores were weighted by attendance numbers, so no team had an advantage strictly by how may members showed up.
This year, representatives from each lodge competed in the following categories: Wii Ski Jumping, Putting, Pool Noodle Javelin, Croquet Shot, Basketball Throw, Pipe Pong Game, Dice Throw and the Three Bank Pool Shot.
The final results were as follows:
Rochester Elks #1393 - 1,983 Points 1st Place
Portsmouth Elks #97 - 1,682 Points 2nd Place
Dover Elks #184 - 1,176 Points 3rd Place
Last year's winning Lodge was Dover and Exalted Ruler Josh Virgin was on hand to present the Tri Lodge Games Trophy to Jerry Skidds, Exalted Ruler of the Rochester Elks.
Rochester members put on a BBQ lunch of burgers and hot dogs, potato salad, beans and dessert. The weather was perfect and a great time was had by all.
