Robert Sprague ... retired from Pratt & Whitney; at 81

ACTON, Maine - Robert William Sprague, 81, of Acton, left us peacefully Sunday evening surrounded by loved ones. Robert was born June 7,1940 in Acton. He was the beloved son of William Sprague and Gladys Hillsgrove. He resided in Acton until his final days.

Robert worked in local shoe shops until he went to work at Pratt and Whitney where he worked until an early retirement in 1999 to spend time with his beloved wife Cecile.

Robert is survived by Daughter Debra Fifield, Son Robert Sprague Jr along with many grandkids, and great grandkids.

He loved to travel. He ended up going many places with his beloved wife Cecile, and his Jan. He also loved collecting guns, and hunting big bucks. He also had a love for older cars especially his 1957 Chevy Belair. He also enjoyed his weekend shot of whiskey and sitting on his front porch watching cars go by and the beautiful birds that always loved to visit.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all. He was the best man anyone could ask for. He will truly be missed by all that got the pleasure of getting to know him.
