ROCHESTER - Robert "Bob" Lingard, 56, of Rochester, died on August 2, 2021 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born August 11, 1964 to Warren and Annie Lingard, Bob lived in Rochester his entire life. He graduated from Spaulding High School in 1983 and graduated from Stratham Vocational Technical College in 1985. Bob worked for Hannaford as an Evening Manager for twenty years after working his way up over a thirty year career. Always wanting to be busy he also worked second jobs in construction, as an auctioneer assistant, and even a limousine driver!

To know him was to love him. Bob was kind, driven, and had a sarcastic sense of humor sure to put a smile on anyone's face. A great listener and advice giver, he loved to sit outside enjoying the sun and share stories with family, friends, and neighbors. He loved to work with his hands and throughout his life enjoyed many hobbies including woodworking, fixing cars, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, and going on weekend adventures with his family.

A tragic motorcycle accident in 2010 may have left him paralyzed, but that never slowed Bob down. His limitations were purely physical and through all of the challenges he faced, he was a fighter. He will always be admired for his strength and strong will.

Bob was an amazing man and his greatness could be talked about endlessly. But, above all else, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Surviving family members include his unconditionally devoted wife of 36 years, Julieann Lingard of Rochester; a daughter Ashlee Lykansion and her husband Danny Lykansion of Hooksett; a son, Alexander Lingard and his wife Allison Lingard of Rochester; a brother, Brian Lingard, his wife Lori Lingard and their sons, Spencer and Wyatt Lingard of Shrewsbury, Mass.; his mother, Annie Lingard of Rochester; a granddaughter, Elowen Lykansion (his "Little Nugget"); and many beloved in-laws.

He was predeceased by his father, Warren Lingard in 2013.
