ROCHESTER - Robert Joyal Sr., 92, died at his residence after a period of failing health.

Born January 25, 1930, in Dover, he was the son of Edward Joyal, Sr and Margaret (Casey) Joyal.

Robert worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as rigger and blaster. He enjoyed fishing, flying kites and reading his bible.

Robert is survived by his wife Gale Joyal of Rochester, one son; Robert Joyal, Jr. and his wife Flora of Berwick, Maine, one daughter; Victoria Cheslock and her husband Michael of Somersworth, one brother; James Joyal of Rochester, three sisters; Kathleen Campbell, Maryann Getchell, Joni McGlone, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
