GONIC - Richard Lovely, 82, of 58 Flagg Rd died Sunday March 30, 2014 at his home.

Born June 6, 1931 in Fort Fairfield, Maine he was the son of Aubrey and Edna Lovely. Richard was raised by his aunt and uncle, Donald and Ruth Robbins.

Richard lived in Rochester since 1969 after moving from Fort Fairfield, Maine. He served in the Army during the Korean War. For the majority of his career, he was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator for IUOE Local 4. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, going to the stock car races, and working in his yard. He also had a sweet tooth for his wife's desserts. Richard had a strong faith and was an active member of Emmanuel Advent Christian Church. He was deeply loved by his wife, children, grandchildren and will be missed by many friends.

Members of his family include his wife of 57 years, Sherley Lovely of Gonic, his son; Richard Lovely, Jr. and his wife Toni of Harrisburg, N.C., his daughters; Bonnie Billings and husband Ken of Rochester, Pamela Fecteau of Montpelier, Vt. and Norman Fecteau of Gilmanton, Jodi Buczek and husband D.J. of Farmington, his grandchildren; Ryan Fecteau and wife Catherine, Katie Michaud and husband Matt, Danielle Billings and Jennifer Billings, R. J. Lovely and Nick Lovely, Christian Buczek, Kaitlan Buczek, and Ariel Langford, and great grandchild Ella Nobert. His brothers; Glyn lovely and wife Cheryl of Presque Isle, Maine, Leo Lovely and wife Joan of Dade City, Fla., a sister, Rose Fisher and husband Jerry of Winterport, Maine.
