DOVER - The prosecutor in the OnlyFans stalking trial said the Strafford County Attorneys Office was happy with the guilty verdicts handed down against a Pennsylvania man on Tuesday.
Mauricio Damian Guerrero, 22, of Bensalem, Pa., was found guilty on almost all of the charges, though a couple of burglary charges were downgraded to criminal trespass on two of the four burglary counts that occurred between Feb. 7-9, 2022.
Strafford County Deputy Attorney Emily Conant Garod told The Rochester Voice on Wednesday that jurors likely found him guilty of a lesser crime on two of the burglary counts because they didn't feel there was enough proof to show that he committed an additional crime while on the Somersworth woman's Highland Street property.
"The fact that they found (him) guilty on two burglaries and downgraded the other two tells me that they believed he was there unlawfully on all four occasions," Garod said. "However they did not believe there was enough evidence that he committed an additional crime while in the house on two of the four occasions."
Garod added that prosecutors were also pleased that the victim finally got some justice for what he put her through.
"We're happy to get justice for the victims (the victim and her mom)," Garod said. "The verdict shows that the jury did not believe the defendant's story that he was there with her permission, and we are grateful for that."
Guerrero was freed on bail pending sentencing, but will be fitted with a GPS tracking device so that corrections officials can keep tabs on him.
A sentencing date has not been determined but Strafford Superior Court Judge Mark E. Howard estimated it would come in either June, July or August.
Guerrero faces up to 30 years in prison on two of the burglaries that occurred between Feb. 7-9, 2022. The two invasion of privacy charges each carry up to a 12-month sentence in county jail.
The trial was widely watched nationwide on multiple youtube platforms.
