Probe under way into Bay State 911 outage; NH was not affected

CONCORD - The New Hampshire Department of Safety's Division of Emergency Services and Communications reassured Granite Staters on Tuesday that a statewide 911 outage in Massachusetts in no way impacted emergency communications in New Hampshire.

Some New Hampshire cell phone users mistakenly received a notification about a statewide outage.

The Massachusetts outage has since been restored.

An investigation into what caused the outage is ongoing.
