CONCORD - The New Hampshire Department of Corrections State Prison for Men celebrates a significant milestone with the department's first graduating class from the where 17 residents voluntarily took part in the inaugural 52-week intensive program, which is founded on Christian principles of character and relational development.

The Prison Fellowship Academy is facilitated by trained volunteers and coaches to utilize a specific curriculum to help each resident establish renewed purpose and life principles. By embracing the Academy's six core values of good citizenship; productivity, responsibility, integrity, community, affirmation, and restoration, participants are equipped to make meaningful contributions both inside and outside of prison which ultimately benefits all those around them. The program teaches residents important life skills such as resolving conflict, responsible thinking, managing personal finances, and much more.

The Prison Fellowship Academy is run in more than 40 states. This voluntary program introduces residents to chapel programming, the Prison Fellowship Hope Event, or the Prison Fellowship Angel Tree event at our facilities. The program is also advertised on the tablets, allowing more residents to become aware of the opportunity.
