DOVER - Two people were stabbed Thursday night at the Ninety Nine restaurant in Dover.
The incident unfolded around 4:35 p.m. when Dover Police responded to a reported altercation at the restaurant.
Upon arrival, officers found an adult male suffering from several nonlife threatening stab wounds and an adult female with lacerations to her forearm.
A third individual involved in the incident had fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Preliminary investigation indicates that all three individuals were known to one another, and that it began as a verbal dispute between the two males, which escalated into a physical confrontation.
During the fight, one male allegedly stabbed the other, and the female was injured while attempting to intervene, according to a release posted today by Dover Police Lt. Mark Nadeau.
Detectives say they are actively investigating the circumstances and motive behind the incident, however, at this time, no criminal charges have been filed.
Police indicate all parties involved have been identified.
