DERRY - Human skeleton remains were found at a Derry country club earlier this week after Derry Police received a tip five days after they had noted in a post on their Facebook page the five-year anniversary of a Derry woman who went missing on March 17, 2020.
The remains were discovered on Wednesday in the area of the Hoodkroft Country Club golf course in Derry.
It is widely speculated that the remains are those of Amanda Grazewski, 23, who went missing.
Police said at the time she was reportedly staying with a friend, but when her house was searched it was found she left without her purse, cellphone and other personal belongings.
The state coroner's office has said it could take months to identify if the body is that of Grazewski.
Currently, the Medical Examiner's Office has said they are unable to tell the age, cause of death or biological sex of the remains.
Officials are asking anyone with information about the case to contact Derry police at 603-432-6111.
