MILTON - Peter L. Grandmaison died at at home on March 23, 2021 after a long battle with his body betraying him. Peter was the type of man who never let his circumstances define him. He endured more in his life than most ever have to.
Peter was many things including a husband, father, veteran, and a business owner of his own construction company, TCB Construction, named for his daughters Tonya, Christina, and Brenda.
He married the love of his life Sheila Grandmaison in 2005 and gained three stepchildren (TC, Leah, and Haylee) after treating them as his own for years prior. He was often found with his wife donating his time to the We Care Food Pantry in Milton.
Above all else Peter was a Papa- a job he took more seriously than any other. He loved his grandchildren without end, and wanted every chance to make them laugh, drive them around on his tractor, badger them for pizza, take them to work, pretend dragons filled the trees, sail around the house at breakneck speeds in his power chair, teach them how to make spitballs and take them fishing.
His special talents included: being a troublemaker, knowing only partial lyrics to any song (Joy to the World being one of his favorites) telling inappropriate jokes, making people laugh, letting the dishes "soak", and winning toys from claw machines that he would then donate to kids on Christmas.
There were causes close to Peter's heart, one being his friends at the food pantry. The other organization close to his heart was the found family of the 50 Legs foundation that accepted him in and gave him hope that he could walk again. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The We Care Food Pantry, or the 50 Legs Foundation (https://50legs.org/). A small celebration of life will be held on April 1, 2021 at 11am at 370 White Mountain HWY, Milton NH.
He will be missed wicked much.
