FARMINGTON - Paul S Parker, 75, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on Nov. 6, 1948, in Rochester, Paul was the son of the late Earl (Stan) and Loretta (Boucher) Parker. Paul spent his childhood on the family farm in Milton. He began working at a young age, joining the Army in January 1968, where he spent time in both Vietnam and Germany. After an honorable discharge, he then served an additional 18 years in the Army Reserves.

A leader at heart, Paul worked diligently for the Town of Farmington as Selectman and on the Zoning Board, for many years. Even in his neighborhood, where Paul and Mary Ann built their forever home log by log, Paul took a leadership role serving as President of the Golden Circle Road Association for several years and was an ongoing contributor to the Road Association for many years after.

In his free time, Paul enjoyed the simple things in life and could often be found in his shop either woodworking or spending time with his good friend, Ron Breton. He found pleasure target shooting and betting on the Patriot games with his cousin (like a brother) Al Parker. He rescued several dogs throughout his lifetime, his favorite being a German shepherd named Lady. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle as often as possible, often taking the six hour round trip ride to the Blessing of the Bikes in Colebrook, with his loving wife and many friends. Above all else, Paul valued talking to and spending as much time as possible with his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 40 years, Mary Ann (Huppe) Parker; his children, Samantha Hempfling of Lee, Jody Buckley of Rochester, Paul E Parker of Durham, and Ray Cormier and his wife Diane of Rochester; siblings Phillip Parker and wife Pam of Dover, and Elaine Perkins and husband Llewelyn of Strafford; his grandchildren Kristal Worthington and her husband Joe, Joseph, Ian, and Emma (Adrian) Hempfling, Nathaniel and Jacob Moore, and Addie and Ellie Buckley; great grandchildren Grayson and Hayden Worthington.

Along with his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his daughter, Ann Marie Watts.
