Ocean State Job Lot recently donated and coordinated the shipment of essential supplies to help those impacted by Hurricane Idalia in Florida and Georgia.

OSJL partnered with customers to donate more than $1 million in essential supplies, including clothing, shoes, gloves, and sanitizing wipes. The items will be shipped to Florida and Georgia, leveraging OSJL's broad transportation network. Three tractor-trailers filled with essential items have already left OSJL's distribution center with additional trucks planned to depart within the next few weeks.

All of the donated supplies were purchased at cost, in part through donations made by customers at each OSJL store to the 501(c)(3) Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation to support the relief efforts. Monetary donations are still being accepted in-store and online at: https://www.oceanstatejoblot.com/osjl-charitable-foundation.

"We are saddened by the devastation left behind from Hurricane Idalia," said David Sarlitto, Executive Director, Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation. "As communities work toward recovery and with hurricane season still in full swing, we are humbled to provide what assistance we can, and thank our customers for their generous support."
