ROCHESTER - The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce Operation Thank You day culminated Thursday night with a gala event at the Rochester Performance and Arts Center on North Main Street in the downtown.

The event, sponsored by First Seacoast Bank, featured a lavish and extensive hors d'oeuvres table and live entertainment from the Shcarfff Brothers of Portsmouth, who played a mix of contemporary, easy listening hits as eventgoers mingled while sipping on wine or beer.

The Business After Hours event was a final thank you to the volunteers who fanned out across the city to deliver the chamber's 2021/2022 Business Referral Director in person to chamber members.

Earlier in the day volunteers including folks from the business community, city government and others gathered at Smokey's Tavern at the Granite Steak & Grill to enjoy a complimentary breakfast before getting last-minute instructions from Chamber President and CEO Laura Ring regarding delivery of the directories.

Some 20 teams comprising more than 50 individuals participated in the effort.

Ring said Thursday she was very grateful for the folks that helped out on another successful Operation Thank You, especially after the chamber had to forgo the event last year due to the pandemic lockdown.
