One Rochester police officer to be honored for longtime service, 3 others promoted

ROCHESTER - One longtime member of the Rochester Police Department will be recognized and three other officers will be promoted during Tuesday's police commission meeting at City Hall.
Rochester Police Capt. Jeremy Aucoin, who serves as Support Commander and Public information Officer, will be awarded his 20-year plaque for two decades of service to the force.
There will also be three promotions within the department, including Sgt. Nicole Knox to Lieutenant, and Patrol Officers John Gantert and Shane Downs to sergeant. All three will be sworn in to their new positions during the meeting.
The police commission meeting begins at 7 p.m.
