ROCHESTER - A fatal crash that occurred Wednesday night on Salmon Falls Road remains under investigation by police, they said in a statement early today.
The single-vehicle crash was reported around 8:45 p.m. in the vicinity of Ida Circle and Tara Estates.
While en route police learned there was a passenger in the vehicle who was unresponsive. When emergency personnel arrived they determined the passenger was deceased as a result of the injuries sustained in the accident.
The driver and two other passengers in the vehicles were not seriously injured, police say.
The area of the crash was closed to traffic for several hours while emergency personnel cleared the scene.
The Strafford County Regional Technical Accident Reconstruction Team arrived to assist Rochester Police with the investigation.
Names of the vehicles' occupants are not being released at this time while Police and family notify next of kin and other family members.
