With blizzard like conditions predicted for Thursday you may need you sweetheart close by just to stay warm for Valentine’s Day.

Heavy wind and snow is expected to arrive late morning and continue into Friday, with snowfall along a narrow band stretching from southwest to northeast all the way up into Downeast to plop down more than a foot of the white stuff.

Airports from Washington, D.C., to Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York City, Manchester and Portsmouth, N.H., Portland, Maine, and Boston will all experience trouble with this storm.

Heavy winds could make for widespread power outages, so utility crews will be ready to deploy if needed.

The nor’easter will start as accumulating snow throughout the I-95 corridor and most coastal areas throughout New England.

The storm is expected to arrive in the Rochester/Milton/Lebanon area around 11 a.m. on Thursday with overall snow amounts of 12-18 inches possible.

According to Accuweather Chief Meteorologist Elliot Abrams, "While some rain can mix in along some of the I-95 cities, this will be a major storm throughout the corridor with enough snow to make for slippery roads and difficult travel."

You are a great news source but you are incorrect (along with most every other news source) in reporting this most recent storm as a \"Nor\'easter\" it wasn\'t. A Nor\'easter has a very specific description and effect that makes one more dramatic and devastating than other storms in that it circles back around from the Maine maritime bringing ocean moisture back in from the \"Nor\'east\" basically after the center of the storm passes us.
