MILTON MILLS - We are pleased to announce that our librarians are heading back in to the library to begin preparing for "porch-side" pickup!
Patrons will be able to use the online catalog (https://miltonfreepubliclibrary.us13.list-manage.com/track/click?u=edcb6918a5b95b583f64951d8&id=59b76a80be&e=e62757964d) and their accounts to reserve books for pick up at a designated time, or give us a call for assistance in finding just the right DVDs and books to enjoy.
We began taking reserves on Monday. In the meantime, our book drop is now open, so please begin to return items at your convenience!

New Hours:
Wednesday 2:30 - 6:30 PM
Friday 2:30 - 6:30 PM
Saturday 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM
Librarians Mary, Noah and Ruth will be calling patrons over the next week to catch up and let you know about the new routine here at the library. Our goal right now is to keep everyone safe and healthy, patrons and staff. Following are some things you need to know:
* Materials you return via the book drop will be quarantined for 72 hours before they get checked in and cleared from your account.
* After you have placed a reserve (or hold) through your online account or by phone, wait for us to contact you to let you know your items are ready for pickup.
* This will be a no contact service, as much as we miss seeing and chatting with you! When you arrive at the library, please call us or beep your horn if you do not have a mobile phone and we will place your bagged items on a table on the porch. Once we have re-entered the building, you may come pick up your bag.
We ask that you be patient with us as we figure out the new procedures, and please be prepared for changes. Thank you!
** How to Find Books to Read and Movies to Watch

During the last few months we have been working to make our online catalog (https://miltonfreepubliclibrary.us13.list-manage.com/track/click?u=edcb6918a5b95b583f64951d8&id=e011328822&e=e62757964d) as user-friendly as we can. Please check out a new search feature we have enabled called "visual". It more closely resembles how you would look for items on the shelves. If you like to browse the new book shelf when you come in, click on "Recent Additions" and see what's new. You can also browse children's bedtime and storybooks, graphic novels, and DVD and audiobooks. Once you've clicked on a category, you can filter the results as needed using the choices on the left-hand side of the page. Please let us know if this works for you!
