Milton man among nabbed in drug sweep

OSSIPEE, N.H. - A Milton man was among a dozen arrested during a three-month drug probe by the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.

Most of the probe was centered in the towns of Wakefield, Wolfeboro and Milton, according to a Tuesday press release from the sheriff's office.

The arrests were made public on Tuesday as the probe is now over.

Nicholas Inglese, 26, of Milton, was arrested along with, Eric True, 36, of Wolfeboro, Joshua Gochie, 26, of West Newfield, Maine, and Derek Nicholson, 25, of Belmont.

Wakefield residents arrested include Cynthia Carruthers, 46, John Carruthers, 45, Lucas Shackford, 20, Megan Donnelly, 22, Jason Brewer, 31, Aaron Hill, 20, Gary Peek, 26, and Jessica Moody, 30.

Charges include sale of controlled/narcotic drugs, criminal liability for conduct of another, sale of a narcotic drug, felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of a controlled/narcotic drug, falsifying evidence, resisting arrest or detention, administration of a controlled drug, and reckless conduct.

The drugs involved in the probe were heroin, cocaine, and marijuana.

The probe began in November and ended with the last of the arrests in mid-January.

All 12 suspects have been released on bail and face court proceeding in Carroll County.

The Milton, Wakefield, Middleton and Wolfeboro police departments, as well as State Police, and Milton Fire and Rescue assisted in the probe.
