CHARLESTOWN - Maryann Campbell, 80, died peacefully at her daughter's house in Hillsboro on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Maryann was born March 18, 1944, in Winchester, Mass., to Evelyn (Rouse) O'Malley and Patrick O'Malley.
Maryann dedicated her life to caring for others as a compassionate home healthcare provider, bringing comfort and dignity to those in need. Her kindness and selflessness touched the lives of many. A lifelong devout Catholic, her faith was the guiding force in her life, providing her with strength and solace.
Beyond her caregiving and faith, Maryann found joy and tranquility in the water. An avid swimmer, she embraced the calm of the pool and passed on her love of swimming to others, coaching the Special Olympics swim team, "The Mighty Seals." She also dedicated time to teaching others how to swim, instilling confidence in her students.
Maryann is survived by her four children, Ann Campbell, of Claremont; Elaine Fagga, and her husband Robert, of Charlestown; Sharon Gamache and her husband David, of Hillsboro; and Packy Campbell and his wife Brenda of Farmington. She is also survived by her sister Eileen Ralske, and her 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Maryann is predeceased by her grandson, Ian Joseph Campbell, and her siblings, Robert O'Malley, Kathleen Stryke, and Patricia O'Malley.
