Marshals seeking 'armed and dangerous' suspect with local ties

The U.S. Marshals New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force is actively attempting to locate and arrest a fugitive with ties to the Seacoast and Strafford County.

Matthew L. Stevenson, 41, has had arrest warrants filed in Manchester and Portsmouth police departments.

He is charged with a strong-arm robbery out of Manchester as well as assault, trespassing, and breach of bail charges out of Portsmouth.

Stevenson is currently believed to be abusing drugs and has a history of assaults, according to a U.S. Marshals press release sent Tuesday.

Based on recent evidence, Stevenson is also believed to be in possession of a firearm and should be considered armed and dangerous.

He has ties throughout New Hampshire, especially the Seacoast and Strafford County areas. A reward of up to $500 has been authorized for information leading to his arrest.
