Man killed outside Manchester shelter died of single gunshot wound to head

CONCORD - An autopsy on a New Hampshire man fatally shot outside of a Mancester homeless shelter has determined he died of a single gunshot wound to the head.

Jean Lascelle, 67, was gunned down outside of the 351 Chestnut St. shelter around 8:40 a.m. on Saturday.

The suspect in the homicide, Timothy Johnson, 38, is being sought in Lascelle's death. He was last seen in front of 351 Chestnut Street around 8:40 a.m. on Saturday. Police believe he is on foot, and say he should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Anyone with information about Johnson's current whereabouts is asked to contact the Manchester Police Department at (603) 668-8711.

When last seen, Johnson was wearing a tan/light brown overcoat, a light colored watch cap, and a green Molle-style backpack. Johnson also has a distinct tattoo on the left side of his lower neck.
