Man holed up following domestic incident surrenders peacefully to SWAT team

DOVER - A Dover man will face a judge today after drawing a Strafford County SWAT team to his residence following an alleged domestic incident Saturday night.
Dover police got involved around 9:15 p.m. when they responded to 24 Littleworth Road for a reported domestic disturbance involving a firearm.
Once on scene officers were able to remove two adults from the home, while the suspect, 44-year-old George Sousane, refused to cooperate.
The Strafford County Regional Tactical Operations Unit was then activated and was ultimately able to negotiate a surrender from with Sousane, according to a statement released by Dover Police on Sunday.
Sousane was charged with felony criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.
He was held without bail at Strafford County Jail pending an arraignment today at Dover Circuit Court.
After the surrender a search warrant was obtained by Dover Police detectives to recover evidence related to the investigation, which included multiple firearms.
